When my mom had to go to the nursing home because of her dementia, a lady from across the hall came to say hi, and I really can’t remember exactly what we said (bad memory, which of course is worrying) but seeing her getting around, happy and talking to everyone made me feel better. I guess I was just holding on to false hope that my mom could get better enough to get around like that (she had several mini strokes and then the dementia just advanced so rapidly). Anyways, it still made me feel like the place wasn’t too bad, but I still hope for a miracle drug to come out and my mom will come back to me.
